PUBLIC NOTICE *UPDATE*: FERRY SERVICE EXTENDED CLOSURE DUE TO TROPICAL CYCLONE ALFRED DELAYED ARRIVAL

Noosa North Shore Ferries would like to provide an important update regarding the status of our ferry service following the impact of Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

Effective Saturday, March 8th, 2025:
  • Ferry Service Closure: Due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred, which is expected to make landfall on the Queensland and New South Wales coast tomorrow, our ferry service will remain closed Saturday, March 8th.
  • Service Resumption: We anticipate resuming all ferry services from 8:00 AM on Sunday, March 9thsubject to Noosa River flood levels and ongoing safety assessments.
Important Notes:
  • Weather and Flood Conditions: The ability to resume normal services on Sunday will depend on the river flood levels and the safety of our operations. We encourage all passengers to stay updated via our website notifications.
  • Travel Advisory: If you do not live on the Northshore, we strongly advise against travel during this period, as weather conditions may still be severe and water levels in the Noosa river may prohibit operations at certain times within the tide cycle.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we monitor the situation closely. The safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority, and we will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.

Thank you for your continued support.
